Bonite Handle and they're magnificent and tight, uncracked and beautiful. The #63 Balloon Whittlers Jack Knife also features Kon Kav Ground Main Blade and Solid Brass Liners with the Ulster Script Oval Shield on the front handle.
This pattern was also made as an SFO (Special Factory Order) for Sears and Roebuck as the 9529 Balloon Whittler and Schrade Walden had the same pattern in an Model #863, prior to 1931 it was the C8633-3/4. Camillus also had a similar pattern which was the #72, Camillus Cutlery utilized a Long Match Strike Pull on the main blade. There are 2 Variations of this pattern when it comes to blade placement, with the Coping Blade, the Pattern with Small Clip and Coping Blade being together predates the post 1941 Ulster #63 Whittlers Jack knife Pattern with the Coping blade and main blade together. Sears and Roebuck first advertised this Balloon Whittler.
